FOOD SAFETY
In order to enable to achieve ESG goals over production, several key solutions have been implemented:
Building production plans to optimize capacity of factories
Optimizing production, energy and raw material cost
Completing bulk cargo system at feed mills
Converting and optimizing energy consumption
Continuing deploying solar power and increasing the proportion of renewable energy at factories
Streamlining operation, ensuring compliance with 6 sigma principles
Developing management and operational capabilities for leadership successors
Assessing 5S application and continuously improving those practices at factories
Programs and initiatives to promote product quality assurance at feed mills:
Evaluating and maintaining ISO 22000 system to ensure high efficiency in analyzing risks, controlling critical issues, and preventing potential risks related to quality and food safety
For aquaculture feed: maintaining and complying with BAP (Best Aquaculture Practices) quality management standards
Supporting suppliers in refining production processes, applying certifications for raw materials that meet requirement standards
GREENFEED invests in infrastructure, and technology to build modern farms according to PIC's 1,000-point evaluation scale. The breeding process is standardized to optimize operational costs, minimize human errors, ensure healthy livestock and reduce environmental footprints. Farms are categorized and managed in specialized zones to ensure disease control and biosecurity.
At GREENFEED, biosafety is emphasized to prevent animals from risks of infection and pathogens transmission. Biosafety control is applied to various aspects, from human-related factors, facility operations, equipment, animal feed, water source to pest and waste management. GREENFEED frequently conducts evaluation to detect risks and perform necessary corrective actions.
GREENFEED has been actively implementing its commitments to animal welfare and adhering to the World Organization for Animal Health's "Five Freedoms" principles: Freedom from hunger, malnutrition and thirst; Freedom from fear and distress; Freedom from heat stress or physical discomfort; Freedom from pain, injury and disease; Freedom to express normal patterns of behavior.
