As part of our customer service package, especially for pig breeders who were affected by African Swine Fever (ASF), GREENFEED technical team and The Effective Farming Solutions have accompanied customers to transform pig farming into duck farming models to better suit the current situation. In Madrac area (Dak Lak), Khanh Hoa alone, new farm houses have been built for 55,000 Grimaud ducks, of which 18,000 ducks are housed in 100% new farms, the remained is the number of ducks raised in farms that have been renovated from the pig farms of customers affected by ASF.
To get this result, GREENFEED technical team helped customers analyze and understand the economic efficiency of duck farming: short investment time, fast capital turnover (47-51 days). Thus, farmers affected by ASF were willing to experiment with the duck farming model to get back into business and increase the family income. For farms that needed to build a comepletely new barn from the ground up, some farmers were inevitably hesitant due to the relatively large capital investment required. However, through visits to farms that have converted to the model and succeeded, especially those that applied The Effective Farming Solutions: Barn Design Solution; Breed Solution; Nutrient solution; Livestock Management Solution and Biosecurity – Veterinary Solution. From the initial hesitation, customers gradually became interested when they realized the economic efficiency of this duck farming model.
